Britain in Bloom is one of the longest running and well known environmental competitions in the United Kingdom. North West in Bloom is the voluntary regional organisation that runs the competition in Lancashire, Cheshire, Greater Manchester and Merseyside.
Since 1964 communities from across the North West have demonstrated their ability to create and maintain attractive environments that benefit residents and visitors alike.
From the mill towns of Lancashire to the picturesque villages of Cheshire every city, town urban community and village is eligible to enter. You can also enter if you are a tourist attraction, hotel, pub or shopping centre.
The aim of the competition is to encourage the improvement of our surroundings through the imaginative use of trees, shrubs, flowers and landscaping. It also aims to achieve a litter free and sustainable environment.
King Edward Avenue residents work very hard every year, tending their gardens, keeping them looking their best for the competition.
We are very proud to acheive our 'Outstanding' mark for Neighbourhood Awards.
