World of Warcraft is a MMORPG giving the player complete freedom to explore the world of Azeroth, and team with other players to battle evil creatures. There are 8 races, with an additional 2 in the upcoming expansion, The Burning Crusade™. These races are split in half, 4 on the team of the Alliance, and 4 on the team of the Horde. It sounds like the usual good vs. evil scenario, but the humans were the ones trying to wipe out the orcs.

The world of Azeroth is also split into 2 large islands, the west island is Kalimdor, location of Orgrimmar, City of the Orcs and Trolls, Thunderbluff, City of the Tauren, And an exception, the Night elven city of Darnassus, who are of the alliance. Though separated from the rest of kalimdor, except a ship that travels between the mainland and Darnassus.

The east island is called the Eastern Kingdom, It is the home of the alliance races, and another exception horde race. Stormwind, City of the Humans, is a very impressive looking town with a real life feeling to it. Ironforge, City of the Dwarves, Is a city inside a mountain, filled with furnaces and engineering, it has the most heavily populate Auction house. And the Horde city is home of the Forsaken, or undead, called the Undercity. It is the ruins of a city with a whole other city underneath.Socializing in World of Warcraft is fun, alot of people who will be glad to help you with questing and exploring.
