Night elves - mystical people from the city of Darnassus, they protects nature and its ways. They are agile and stealthy, giving them the Racial ability "shadowmeld" which hides the Night Elf so enemies cannot see them. Night elves appear as quite tall and skinny, with long ears, glowing eyes and colourful skin.

Humans - Humans, well we all know what they are. In World of Wacraft they live in the city of Stormwind. Humans are honorable fighters, and make good warriors and paladins because of their  weapon skill bonuses. Humans are show as tall and muscular, nothing very special though, but have quite good racial abilitys.

Dwarves - Dwarves are a technologically advanced race who know a great deal about weaponcraft. There city of ironforge, as the name suggests, is like a giant forge. Dwarves are strong with high defense, making them good warriors. They appear as small hairy people.

Gnomes - smartest race of the alliance, they make robots and machines that you wouldnt expect, such as a mechanical bird-like robot which they use as mounts to get around. Make great rogues and engineers. They appear as tiny people with colourful hair, large eyes and a toothy grin.

Orcs - The orcs are a proud race from the city of orgrimmar. Savage and brutal, they have the strength to match their appearance. They strive forward to war with no fear and their leader, thrall, is the most powerful orc remaining. Orcs are green, muscular, short people.

Troll - The Trolls are a very strange race, they look almost like a mutated elf... They are tall and thin, large ears, colourful skin.... But there are differences. Trolls make good shamans and rogues. In appearance, they are colourful, slouched, large tusked and have mohican style hair.

Undead - A popular one, the undead or "the Forsaken" are rotting humans. Because they have such a variety of classes, people use undead for all, so i think that undead make good use of all their classes, but Warlock stands out to me. In appearance, like a human, with bone showing on their arms and legs, sometimes their jaw (character customisation allows bone jaw, lobsided jaw, and no jaw).

Tauren - Tauren are the Hordes peaceful race. Very big a powerful, tauren can crush enemies they meet with their giant hooves. They make excellent warriors, druids and shamans. The tauren are intouch with natures ways, but were not intentionally teamed with the horde, but thrall saved the tauren from destruction by the Centaur, and the Tauren swore an oath to the orcs. Tauren in appearance, are alot like minotaurs, but they do have the body of a bull standing on hind legs. Although, the screenshot at the top of the page may not show a Taurens peaceful side.
