We are anyone who has an interest in Flying, in whatever capacity.

We are people who remember that a good landing is one from which you can walk away.
A great landing is one after which they can use the plane again!

It all began a really long time ago…longer than you would think. For instance Leonardo Da Vinci made sketches of aircraft so you can see that although a relatively new pastime its roots go back well in history.

However the accepted beginning of powered aviation goes to the Wright brothers who, on the 17th December 1903 at around half past ten in the morning, made the world’s first manned & controlled powered flight

This was at Kitty Hawk in North Carolina, it lasted for only 12 seconds or so and covered just over 100 feet.

I could go into loads of history here but quite frankly there are lots of good websites that already give full histories of flight so go and check those out . There are plenty but one I particularly like is
