So, do you want to do this?
They say that there are two types of person in the world, when it comes to 'Technology'.
1) 'Those who are compatible with Technology' and
2) 'Those who are incompatible with Technology
but this is wrong. Balderdash in fact. Anyone can learn, but it does take a little effort.
There is no such thing as an incompatible person, just badly conceived design and technology. It is just such technology' that good advice will guide you away from.
Technology is defined as:
technology, noun, pl. -gies.
1. the science of the mechanical and industrial arts; applied science.
2. the body of tools, machines, materials, techniques, and processes used to produce goods and services and satisfy human needs.
Now that last one (and there are others) is a real gem, because it gets down to the human references.... ie: it satisf(ies)y human needs.
Great.......... so if a so called "technology" does not satisfy a human need, it is not technology at all.
So maybe, in fact, there are in fact two types of Technology when it comes to people?
1) Those that satisfy your needs
2) Those that do not
and you would be right to question the adoption of 'things' (well, you cannot call them technologies) unless they prove to satisfy your needs, or the needs of others.
In the next in this series we will look at HOW you can become better informed and find out more about what various technologies can bring to you. If you cannot see how these 'things' can satisy your needs, or make your life easier or better, well they may be the wrong technologies for you.
