Talking Books..........just a click away
Click on the logos above to explore a few links Everyone enjoys a good book, and with World Book Day only just passing us by, thoughts turn to a whole host of people for whom reading may not always be the easiest thing to do.
iTech has visited a number of web sites that offer an alternative to 'reading a book', but which offer access to books and information all the same, in audio form.
Many 'Talking Books' can easily be accessed through a simple search from your favourite web browser, and all you have to do is ensure that you have the right resources on your computer to listen. Almost without exception, modern computers will play the audio without the user needing to do anything special. Just decide whether you want to listen through loudspeakers or on headphones. If you have a media player such Real Player, Windows Media Player, QuickTime you will have one of the top three most popular. These make it easy to play and control the audio. If you want to download any of these links are shown at the end of this page.
