Handling Images on a Mac (another handy tool)
iResize - A Free Mac Image
Resizer
iResize is the best free image resizing utlity we have so far discovered for the Mac. It allows users to resize single images really easily, but its the capability to batch resize and compress images that shines. It works with a range of image types : .jpeg, .pict, .tiff,.gif, .psd and QuickTime images
You can:
resize one image or all images in a list
resize by fixed height or fixed width
It has a preferences window for some settings
very fast and easy
it's possible to add an extra text (ex: -r,small,...) to the resized images file names
Alert for file names longer than 31 characters
Function to fix JPEG files with incorrect information (MacType & MacCreator ID)
Rewritten from scratch and compiled with the latest version
New in version 2.3 (current at the publication of this page) Added italian localization Added capability to drag & drop files and folders to the batch list
