Several years ago, when I worked for Apple Computer I became interested in a growing area of ICT that, frankly no one had heard about - but which has cahnged the face of software and education forever. Martin Owen, the author of the document linked to below was at that time working for Bangor University and he was researching the ways in which intelligent software systems could be used to make finding and editing content easier. The project - Project REM -

was an example of a 'Social Software" and very much ahead of its time in 1997.
