Breakfast launches video podcast
Blackpool4Me users will know that blueIRIS has been offering a Podcasting service in the town since 2005, targeting sight disabled users. Podcasting has really become a mainstream media broadcasting service as millions of people now have devices that can receive content.
The latest offering really shows how widely Podcasting has become.
You can now get your fix of daily early morning news - wherever you are. Breakfast launched an exciting new service on September 17th 2006. This is just the start of the amazing things the BBC is making available via the internet (you will find articles in iTech about the the content download and publishing services).
Each weekday morning, you be can download and view a round-up of the BBC first news summary at 6am - it will be ready by 6.45am.

And don't worry if you haven't got time to wait for it to upload while you're at home: you can also download our podcast to any computer, to watch it any time you choose.
A takeaway Breakfast
The Breakfast podcast will normally be available by about 6.45am, but you can always synchronise your player from the brand new permanent link on the homepage of the Breakfast website when you get to your office.
Why not download the Breakfast Takeaway on your way to work in one of the many coffee shops, Libraries or public access points with wi-fi facilities? You can do this anywhere that has modern facilities - and this sort of service will gradually become available everywhere.
