Uncovering the truth - Macs in Blackpool Schools

Then the LITE came on!

Thanks to the Apple Channel for hosting this story

LITE = Lancashire Initiative in Technology Education.  Around 1987, plans were drawn up to bring all of the developments in fledgling Design and Technology into sharp focus in Lancashire. LITE was an acronym I'm proud to say I came up with, and which was adopted for a county wide exhibition and event celebrating the breadth of work - much of it pioneering work - being carried out in schools.

So, that's one story.......and this is another one. This page is supposed to be about Apple Macintosh in Blackpool (actually its about IT development), but I can only give one part of the story here (Highfield High School).  In fact LITE marked my real entry into Mac "usershipness" because it was at the development of the strategies for this that I used my first Mac in anger.
