The new Blackpool History channel is STILL asking for

contributions from anyone in the Blackpool and Fylde

area.

I need details of local businesses, cinemas, theatres, clubs etc. - young and old - to build up the information in the Blackpool History book.

What is needed is the dates of opening and closing, together with addresses and any details of the people involved.

For example - does anyone know who started Mickeys Market, and when it opened? Who knows when Elizabeth Larner was born and went to Tyldesley School? Does anyone know Joan Savage's Birthday?

All such information will help to provide a more comprehensive history of our area for future readers.
