SITE IMPROVEMENTS
A new container has been placed at the far end of the site. This will be used as extra storage space as the current one isn't big enough. The area next to the container has been made into a hard standing where it is planned to become a central storage area for manure collection and distribution. Also, a new tarmac road has been laid, extending the road from the existing container right down to the golf course fencing. This extension has been enabled by a grant from the Blackpool Sustainable Urban Regeneration Federation (SURF) totalling £6516 and is a great improvement to allow access for all, to all areas.

An ongoing problem for plot holders is site security and as such, the society is committed to installing total perimeter fencing. To this end, a grant of £2000 has been awarded form the local area forum which will enable a further 50 metres of fencing to be fitted, leaving us with approximately 850 metres to go.
SITE INSURANCE
If you are not a member of the David Slack Allotment Society then you will not have 3rd Party liability insurance for your plot. This insurance covers you for damage or injury caused on your plot or by items from your plot. If you do not have adequate insurance then you could be personally liable. £5 per year gives you society membership and automatic cover.
Remember to regularly check this site or the Allotment notice boards for the latest information.
