Who We Are
BackCare is a national Charity and has branches throughout the UK.BackCare Fylde Branch was established in 1999 by local volunteers who have an interest in back problems, be it from a suffers point of view or a carers.They found that there was nowhere else to go for useful information on the reseach and treatments of back problems. They all felt so isolated on their own, and have been eager to get this Branch up and running so no-one esle should feel cut-off as they once did.Its not easy coping with chronic pain and I'm sorry that we cannot offer you an instant cure,but we can offer you friendship and understanding, informatiom and knowledge.

We meet on a Wednesday (See Scheduled Meeting) At The World Healing Crusade,476,Lytham Road (next door to Arnold School)at 7.30pm.We have a different speaker every meeting. We have a raffle and refreshments are always available. Parking is not a problem and the charge to visitors is £1.50

Visit from Mr Martin Knight

We were privileged to meet Mr Knight and hear the interesting talk on his spinal surgery techniques when he came to our branch meeting in November 2005. We were able to ask all our questions and he very kindly gave us his answers in words we could understand.

8.Insurance for our activities.

9.The Branch receives £5 of your membership fee to help with the running of the Branch.

We are so pleased that H.R.H Prince Charles has accepted our invitation to be Partron of BackCare. He wrote from St James Palace.
I was delighted to accept the invitation to be Patron of BackCare-the National Organization for healthy backs.Having suffered with back pain for many years, i know how painful and debilitating this condition can be. I sympathise greatly with the 2.5 million people who experience back pain every day.
