Jubilee Celebrations

Jubilee celebrations began in Greenlands with a Jubilee tea party for senior citizens at the Squirrel pub restaurant on Friday the 1st of June.
The event was organised by both Ward Councillors (myself and Chris Ryan) along with Flick (the landlady of the Squirrel).
About 50 senior citizens came and were treated to an enjoble few hours.
As well as the food (which was courtesy of Crown Carveries)
We were all entertained by the Bispham High School Gospel Choir.
Following the choir there was a quiz supplied and delivered by Kevin Benfold.
No party would be complete without a few games of Bingo and of course a grand raffle consisting of over 30 prizes (most of which had been donated by nearby businesses and residents.
The winners of the quiz won a presentation display of red, white and blue lollipops made up to look like a bouquet of flowers which was later sent to
Brian House childrens hospice.
All who attended were given a jubilee cup, a flag and a bag of sweets to take home.
The whole afternoon went without a hitch and everyone had a really good time.
I would like to thank everyone who helped make the day a success.
