• Information - our quarterly newsletter is circulated to over 500 local voluntary and community groups and statutory contacts.
  
• Security Checking - The CVS has now been accepted as an Umbrella Body of the Criminal Records Bureau for local Charity Groups and Voluntary Organisations. It helps Employers and Volunteering Organisations make informed recruitment decisions and so protect the vulnerable members of society.

  	The cost for using this service for our Member Groups is: £7 for a Volunteer’s Standard or Enhanced Disclosure. £36 for an Employee’s Standard Disclosure. £41 for an Employee’s Enhanced Disclosure. The cost for using this service for Non Member Groups is: £12 for a Volunteer’s Standard or Enhanced Disclosure. £41 for an Employee’s Standard Disclosure. £46 for an Employee’s Enhanced Disclosure.

• Development - individuals or groups seeking to begin a charitable acitivity are offered advice and assistance on set-up, establishment, training, funding, law.
