Community Safety Day Report

 
 

forum logoAs a result of the March meeting, the Equalities Forum held a free Community Safety Day at St John's Community Centre, Church Street on Tuesday 23rd of October.  The multi-agency open day had a marketplace of information stalls and different workshops running through out the day.  The event was opened by the Worshipful the Mayor of Blackpool Councillor Robert Wynne and the Mayoress Gaynor Wynne.

Stalls included:
  • Travel & Road Safety: Vision tests, children's activities
  • Bsafe Blackpool: Drug awareness, Anti-Social Behaviour and Respect.
  • Lancashire Constabulary
  • Lancashire Fire and Rescue
  • Primary Care Trust: Smoking Cessation Team; Carbon Monoxide testing
  • PCT: Alcohol Harm Reduction
  • Trading Standards
  • Crown Prosecution Service
