How to join
This channel is currently an open channel. We want to share what we are doing with as wide an audience as possible. There will eventually be 'limited access' areas for partnership discussions. If you want to play a part - read on,  hit 'Contact Channel Manager' or (after Jan 31st) select 'Join this channel' from the features tab.

The eCommunity partnership was formed approx three years ago in order to address the perceived need to improve communications between stakeholders (those involved in delivering and running services) across the town.

Headed up by the Assistant Director of Education, Leisure and Cultural Services at the time, the partnership consisted of a number of key players including and representing  the local faith sector; local voluntary services; organisations dealing with the elderly; the disabled; Blackpool Council Adult Learning; Libraries; ICT, Blackpool and the Fylde College; Blackpool Montgomery High School; Council Economic Development; The Primary Care Trust and others.

Over the last three years the partnership has been able to bring about a number of key initiatives in the town, and support several key projects.  These will be expanded upon, in due course, on this site.

The eCommunity partnership are also the body which initially recognised the key role that communications and information could play in the 21st Century, and have been the driving force behind the development of Blackpool4Me.

Welcome to the B4Me Blackpool eCommunity Channel.
