Blog Action Day (Wed 15th October) is an annual nonprofit event that aims to unite the world’s bloggers, podcasters and video vodcasters, to post about the same issue on the same day. The aim is to raise awareness and trigger a global discussion on POVERTY.

Following a post from Birmingham Bloggers see ICT & Communication we have been made aware of Blog Action Day. Is there an interest in Blackpool in forming our very own local Blogosphere for today - and perhaps linking up in the future as well?
This does not have to involve only those with Blogs, but could involve Blackpool4me Channel Managers making a special effort to create a page to go LIVE TODAY Wednesday 15th October!
But if you want to set up a Blog it can be done easily and quickly - see Blogger and Wordpress for examples. You can Blog about any subject that interests you - absolutely anything! All that is asked is that you contribute to the debate about Poverty TODAY (and in the future).
