The AFRA commitee is organising our annual Black History Month Celebration. This year we have been very lucky in securing sponsorship from Blackpool Football Club. We have met with Blackpool FC representatives to plan the event which will include dancing and live performances from the Hi-Tech Steel Band, and various other professional and local artists. We have arranged for authentic Caribbean food to be served too.We also plan on a separate ‘marketplace’ area which will house various interactive displays on Black History and Culture, public service and charity information stands and shops.
It will be held on Friday 10th October 2008 from 7pm at Blackpool Football Club, Seasider’s Way in the Sponsors Lounge.
If you would like to join in with the planning and organisation of the event (assisting performers, taking tickets organising raffle and selling tickets); or
if you are interested in having a stall at this year's Black History Month event (there will be a small charge for public services and private businesses)
