Joan Humble, MP for Blackpool North and Fleetwood is to visit the Royal Mail's Delivery Office in Fleetwood at 8am on Friday 14th December, and will be shown around by Manager Richard Johnson.

Mrs Humble has been invited to visit the Delivery Office to see first hand the effects of the Christmas Mail delivery and how staff deal with the huge loads of mail in the run-up to the festive season.

Mrs Humble said:

"I am looking forward to visiting the delivery office and seeing the activity as staff are sorting out the very large amount of mail they have to deal with. I will be asking Mr Johnson how they are coping with the pressure of the Christmas deliveries and the huge amount of post over the Christmas period. Postal staff at the sorting office and those who actually deliver the mail are to be congratulated for making sure the deliveries go out so efficiently in the run-up to Christmas".
