 Have you any issues or questions regarding sexual health, safety or associated information connected with the Blackpool LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual and Transgendered) scene? Then here is your first point of contact. All requests for assistance and advice including support are totally free of charge, non judgmental and treated in the strictest of confidence. The project networks regularly with Blackpool PCT (Primary Care Trust) and the NHS Victoria hospital sexual health teams.
We also place a representative of the LGBT community on several forums and committees relevant to the LGBT scene and are in a position to offer help, advice and assistance with any issues, including the reporting of HATE Crimes, either personally or anomalously.
We work in conjunction with our own in house sexual health trainer/advisor and are in a position to offer:

  • Advice on safer sex
  • Free condoms Lube
  • Current sexual health issues
  • STIs. (Sexually transmitted Infections)
  • Latest treatment updates on HIV and AIDS

Fully Open College Network accredited sexual health training is available free of charge to staff working within Blackpool PCT and local voluntary and statutory agencies and organisations. The sexual health training on offer encompasses many aspects relating to sexual health including:- Sexual health awareness, Understanding sexuality, Sexual health services and Legislation. We facilitate several forums for the various strands of the LGBT community to get together to seek or to offer support and advice to others in a friendly, relaxed and safe environment. The forums and groups facilitated include:

  • 55+ older men’s group,
  • Over 18 female gay and bi-sexual group
  • Trans-female group
  • Trans-male group 
  • Younger men’s group

We also facilitate regular out reach sessions in the two gay saunas in Blackpool where gay and bi-sexual men can meet with a fully qualified male medical nurse practitioner and discuss in confidence any issues they may have regarding health. Issues that they may feel uncomfortable talking about to their regular G.P including;

  • Testicular Cancer
  • Erectile Dysfunction
  • STI's 
  • Safer Sex Practices
