Blackpools Gambia School Project is a charity whose main aim is to raise money to build a school in Lamin, The Gambia, West Africa. At present the children who are lucky enough to go to school have to walk about five miles each way to get there.. The village community has given us a large piece of their valuable agricultural land to build the school. Monies will also be used to equip the school. Other parts of the project at other schools include building new toilet blocks and refurbishing school libraries. We also hope to upgrade a community hospital in the village and build a skills centre. See other pages for more details.
