Does your faith group operate social or community services or perhaps trade as a café or hire out your facilities or similar trading activity?
If so, you may be able to benefit from new opportunities opening up in Lancashire for the community, voluntary and faith based organisations to access a £300,000 government fund to help support and grow social enterprises across the county.
The funding comes via SELNET – The Social Enterprise Lancashire Network (further details attached.) The funding could apply to any group in Blackpool whether or not located in a particularly deprived neighbourhood and will typically be used for supporting growth and sustainability.

The Faith Forum in conjunction with SELNET held a free seminar on the 30th March 2006 (notes below) specifically for the Blackpool Faith Community to share information and identify possible local opportunities. This included how groups can benefit from this work and access support.
The seminar also included presentations (below) from representatives of other faith based social enterprises in the north west.
