The Church weekend away took place in June at Abbot Hall, Grange-over-Sands. This is the fifth time a group went from church to have a time of fun and fellowship. On this occasion, Bishop Geoff and his wife Jean were our special guest speakers, sharing on the life of Moses. There were fun/learning sessions for the children and for the teenagers, as well as for the adults.
Friday evening was a getting to know you session. Saturday afternoon saw the free time being used for various events from a treasure hunt to a visit to Holker Hall. Saturday evening was a fun time organized by David and Lee with quizzes as well as "Mitre making" and penny searching for the "I can't believe it's not......" game.
A new two part song "Are you ready,brother?" was written for the music workshop and was sung at the Sunday morning session.

How we love coming to Grange
To fellowship and to refresh…
Our souls and our spirits and family ties
It’s something we don’t want to miss.
We love the scenic location
The climate is kind to us too.
We eat the good food for our bodies and souls
And have fun with our friends old and new.
