Group of volunteers and service users in the park

Disability charity Leonard Cheshire is looking for volunteers to link up with disabled or elderly individuals supported through their Care at Home Service in the North West. By giving just a couple of hours a week or fortnight, a befriending volunteer can make a real difference to someone's life, by enabling them to pursue their hobbies and interests and maximising their independence.

Volunteers are at the heart of Leonard Cheshire’s work. You’ll have fun, forge new friendships and really make a difference to the lives of disabled people. There are all sorts of ways to get involved, from accompanying someone to the pub, helping out with gardening or simply having a chat with someone who may be lonely. Whatever your skills we’d like to hear from you.

For more information about volunteering with us, please click on the links to the right or contact the volunteer co-ordinator using the contact details provided above. Alternatively, see our main website for further information about Leonard Cheshire and the services it provides to disabled people.
