My Web, My Way

BBC's support for web accessibility The world-wide web can be a great enabler and source of freedom and ability for disabled audiences, giving them the resources to better contribute to society and the BBC.

Some examples, taken from experiences of real bbc.co.uk disabled users detailed in the Study of Accessibility of bbc.co.uk, include:

allowing people with motor impairments to read broadsheet-quality news on news.bbc.co.uk without having to turn broadsheet pages allowing visually impaired people to access Delia Smith's recipes in big print on bbc.co.uk/food allowing Deaf and hard of hearing people to "listen" to the Archers via transcripts on bbc.co.uk/archers
