Want to Volunteer?

Blackpool Fylde & Wyre Society for the Blind offers a wide scope of volunteering opportunities throughout the different departments of the Society, to help make a difference to the lives of the many visually impaired people living in our local area. Our volunteers come from a wide range of backgrounds and age groups.
Do you enjoy chatting to people?
Are you a good listener ?

Often just having someone to chat to over a cup of tea once a month can make all the difference and we are looking for volunteers who might be prepared to take on such a role. Other small tasks that our clients might appreciate would be helping to sort incoming mail, writing an occasional letter or birthday card and escorting on a short walk. We are looking for people in the Cleveleys, and Fleetwood area to expand are Friendly Visiting Scheme.

We are also looking for help at our Talking Newspaper, we are currently looking for readers to join our volunteer teams for the Talking Newspaper  blueIRIS our interactive radio station.

Interested in volunteering, or would like to know more about us, please contact: 01253 362 692
