Crossland Road
Over the last few weeks there have been several letters published in the Blackpool Gazette letters page raising issues affecting Crossland Road/Brook Street. Unfortunately, all these letters have been published with the authors' address withheld. This is obviously their prerogative and we do not seek to criticise their decision to do so in any way. Obviously as your Ward Councillors we are concerned that residents of the Ward are experiencing problems or have concerns about Council run services. Unfortunately, some of the complaints or comments made in the letters were not specific enough for us to follow them up, take action to resolve them, or to offer our support to help resolve issues of anti-social behaviour. Both of us make ourselves available to residents by holding regular surgeries at the Community House, 139 Watson Road between 6pm and 7pm on the first Monday of each month (Except Christmas and New Year) or at our homes on 692528 (Norman) or 353769 (Val). We also publish newsletters delivered to every house in Hawes Side Ward. If you are one of the people who wrote to the Gazette, or if you are experiencing problems that we can help you with, please get in touch with us and we will deal with you confidentially on an individual basis, or if you prefer, by organising a public meeting so that everyone in the area can voice their concerns. We look forward to hearing from you.
Councillors Haynes and Hardy
