Following a number of meetings with residents of the Crossland Road/Brook Street area,  particularly relating to fly tipping and cars using the Park as a short cut,  we are pleased to announce a list of improvements to be carried out, starting soon.  
The first proposal is a hard standing basketball pitch and a youth "hangout shelter",  then fencing right across the Vicarage Lane end, similar to that already at the Gate,  and bushes etc at the Hawes Side Lane end, both of these to stop cars using the Park as a short cut.  
More benches around the Park and refurbishment of the playground and even equipment for older people to use, sometimes referred to as an old folks playground!!!   

When all is completed, there should be something to satisfy all age groups, with a greener, safer place to be enjoyed by all.
