Update, February 2008
I'm pleased to report that the Rubbish Amnesty was a huge success. Thank you to everyone who helped, especially the NEAT Team. I'm already being asked when the next one will take place!
*******************************************************
The two rubbish amnesties that I organised last year were an overwhelming success, (click here to read about it) so, as promised, I have organised another two for this year.
In our winter edition of Ingthorpe Labour News, residents were asked to contact me if they wanted their street to be included as they, or their neighbours, were unable to take large items of rubbish to the Household Waste Recycling Centre because of distance, disability or lack of transport. I have included all the streets that were put forward to me and also arranged the collections earlier in the year as requested.
The times and collection points are:
Saturday 2nd February 2008
9am – 10am Portree Road
10.15am – 11am Briarfield
11.15am – 11.45am Kincraig Place
12.pm – 1pm Beattock Place
Saturday 9th February 2008
9am – 9.30am Dumfries Close
9.30am – 10am Kilmory Place
10.15am – 11am Kairnryan Close
11am – 11.45am Irvine Close
11.45am -12.15pm Galloway Crescent
12.30pm – 1pm Lowland Way
On each site at the allotted times there will be:
1 x Refuse Vehicle for the disposal of normal household waste including 3 Piece Suites and other non-recyclable furniture
1 x Vehicle for the removal of recyclable items such as wooden furniture, washing machines, fridges, freezers & tumble dryer’s
There will also be a NEAT Officer on site to offer advice on recycling and to give quotes for the removal of rubble as this cannot be taken on the day.
(Please take your rubbish to the vehicles as the officers will not have the time to collect from your property.)
