Welcome Guest

Joan Humble and Kath Rowson have attended many events in Ingthorpe Ward throughout the year.  They enjoyed helping to celebrate the first Kincraig Community Fun Day which was held at Kincraig School in July.

Best Wishes for a very Happy, Healthy and Peaceful 2008

From Councillor Kath Rowson

Joan Humble MP

Rubbish Amnesty

Kath Rowson’s rubbish amnesties in April were a resounding success. They were so popular that they over-ran their times on both days, and the vehicles had to return to base for emptying a number of times!

Kath is organising further rubbish amnesties to take place in the new year. If you would like your street to be included because you or your neighbours are unable to take large items of rubbish to the Household Waste Recycling Centre, please ring or e-mail Kath (details below) to discuss this with her.

Kincraig Lake

We are very lucky to have a registered biological heritage site, Kincraig Lake, here in Ingthorpe. Kath Rowson and a small number of residents have decided to form a Friends of Kincraig Lake group to enable them to access funding to improve the area. If you are interested in joining them, please ring Kath on Blackpool 356866.

Kincraig Road Postbox

We are pleased to report that following Kath Rowson’s intervention, the Post Office stopped dragging their heels and have re-instated the postbox at the junction of Kincraig Road and Dumfries Court.

The Credit Union

This is available to all residents every Monday (except Bank Holidays) at Kincraig Place Community Centre from 6pm to 6.30pm.

The Credit Union is a not-for-profit organisation, and exists solely to benefit its members. It is registered under an act of Parliament and monitored by the Financial Services Authority.

After saving regularly for a minimum of 13 weeks, you can borrow up to twice what you have saved.

The benefits of a Credit Union include:

  • The assurance that the interest rate on your loan will not increase above 1% per month.
  • No hidden fees or transaction charges.
  • Free life insurance for eligible members
  • Easy withdrawal of money saved (if not pledged against a loan).
