Carleton Lodge Farm Pond

Removed Iris
On Sunday 20th April  I was informed that two men removed a large quantity of Flag Iris from the pond just as you enter Carleton Lodge Farm. I am presently in contact with the Legal Department at the Council as under Section 13 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 they shouldn't have been doing this.

They might have genuinely thought that they could climb over a fence onto council land, dig in a Council owned pond and take home some Iris with them as they went but they can't.

One last thing - if you have a pond put in your garden by a local Pond Specialist over the next week and some lovely wild Flag Iris appear in it, and on your bill, just wonder where they came from!!!
