Blackpool Loves you

As you will be aware this Valentine’s Day, Blackpool Council, along with partners in the town, is putting a raft of events and promotions to show that Blackpool loves its residents.

I had the idea of Blackpool Loves You. and I do think residents can sometimes feel like everything we do is geared towards visitors. I wanted a day where Blackpool locals could really go out and enjoy themselves for very little cost.

We tried to cater for everyone so there are activities from a fine amnesty at libraries to free entry at the Sandcastle.

I hope everyone makes the most of these opportunities and if it is a success we will look at doing it next year.

I’m really pleased that all the attractions in the town are as keen as us to give offer something special for residents on that day.
a chance to enjoy all Blackpool has to offer for a discounted rate or, in some cases, entirely free.
