Maddening isn't it - the constant thud, thud, thud of dreadful music being played at an excessive volume - whatever the time of day or night? People slamming doors and windows - maybe in the same building as you, next door, or out in the street? Neighbours or passers by who don't seem to care whether you want to sleep, or if you've got young children? Maybe you work nights and you just can't get to sleep for the noise?
The good news is, I know how you feel - and there are things the Council can do to help, as well as things you can do to help yourself. The bad news unfortunately is that neither the Council nor I have a magic solution to make it all go away, as some people are just plain inconsiderate.

I'd also be interested to hear from people who've had contact with the Council or the Police in the past about noise related problems, to see what you think of the service on offer, and to learn of any innovative ways that you maybe managed to bring a little peace and quiet to your street!
