SAFER - CLEANER - GREENER

During the past few years, money from the councillor’s budget has been used to improve the environment of Victoria Ward. We have listened to your views and tried to spread the spending in a fair way, including the £5000 councillors have contributed towards revitalising Revoe Park.

We have also funded the planting of new trees on Marton Drive and at Spen Corner next to Waterloo School, where spring bulbs have also been planted and new seating and picnic benches have been provided.

Alley gate schemes have been introduced at various sites to cut down on anti-social behaviour and to keep alleyways cleaner.

Benches have been provided at 5 sites within the ward to enable residents to relax and have a chat with friends whilst out shopping.

£4000 has been spent on new books for the Palatine and Revoe libraries.

Speed warning signs have been erected on Grasmere Rd to protect children attending school.
