A year to remember Gary and Debbie with some of their family in the Mayors parlour Between May 2007 and May 2008 I was fortunate to be the Deputy Mayor of Blackpool. My wife Debbie and I were both proud to represent our town during the year and we have some wonderful memories that will last for a long long time. We would like to thank everyone that we met throughout the year. We met some very inspiring people with age ranges from 0 to 104. We really do feel privileged to have been given the opportunity to meet so many great people. Our town has a lot to be proud of, perhaps most of all the people within it. I think we all know that Blackpool has a number of issues that need resolving, but what we sometimes tend to forget is how special our town is.  So again I say thankyou to all the great people that we met during our Deputy Mayor year, our town is a better place because of you.
