ICT development and support for the voluntary sector Circuit Riders
Do you provide ICT support in your organisation? To other organisations?
Is it part of your job or do you do it because there's nobody else to do it?
Are you a manager wanting to learn about how to get the best out of technology and find out where to get support when it doesn't do what you need it to!

There will also be an opportunity to hear about the latest developments of the ICT Hub and network with colleagues.
Please feel free to come to any or all of the day. If you want lunch providing please let us know that you're coming
Many small to medium-sized voluntary organisations face big challenges getting the best out of ICT. Circuit Riders can be part of the answer.
Circuit Riders
Circuit Riders are ICT workers, who support a group of organisations. Rooted in the voluntary sector, they understand organisations’ ways of working, and can give advice about most things to do with technology in non-technical language. If they can’t then they know where to find out.
Collectively, Circuit Riders form a community that provides support for one another, and which can influence funders, suppliers, policy makers and government. We are organising multi purpose meetings around the country for both Circuit Riders and ICT practitioners and those interested in the idea and want to learn more. Meetings discuss current topics in voluntary sector ICT and Circuit Riding as a model for assistance to the Sector. They are informal, free of charge thanks to the ICT Hub, and include time for discussion and networking.
Technology changes all the time. What developments should managers be aware of inorder to help their organisations keep on top of it.
Affordable, Accessible, Sustainable Managers can find it hard enough to make sure their IT works properly. In between everyday issues like keeping printers working and dealing with spam, they have to decide how to make best use of any precious IT budget, meet legal requirements and worry about where they can get support and advice about it all.
Not many have the time to devote to keeping up with new technological developments, so this session will cover:
•what issues should you be aware of?
•what developments could you take advantage of?
•how to ensure your technology is accessible to all
•where can you go locally to get relevant, reliable
technical support?
•what resources are available nationally?
