We can offer a free, independent and convenient service to provide:

- Benefit Checks i.e. check what additional benefits someone may be entitled to
- Assistance with filling out benefits forms for new claims where someone cannot access DWP services / offices
- Advice on Working Tax Credits and going back to work
- Referrals to services in and outside of the Advice Link Network
- Better off calculations
- Follow up to check the progress of a claim we have helped initiate

We cannot provide:

- An emergency service
- A form filling service to people able to access and use benefit office services
- Help with reviews of or appeals against benefits decisions
- Long-term support
- If you live in Blackpool and would like to see one of our workers we can arrange an appointment either at your home or at somewhere convenient for you.

The Advice Link Plus Welfare Benefit Outreach Service has been set up to help

- Blackpool residents access the benefits and services they are entitled to. 
- We aim to reach people not accessing services
- We receive referrals from other organisations whose clients need assistance claiming benefits and information on going back to work 
- We focus on those who are not receiving any support from another agency.
- If we cannot help we undertake to signpost or refer you to an adviser who can help.
