Rachel Sykes is the founder of Class Act theatre school, which opened in January 2006. Having lived in the Claremont area with two daughters Rachel identified the need for activities for children. In particular in performance arts so decided to set up her own school on a Saturday, to provide a safe and accessible place for children from Claremont and the surrounding areas.
Since then her doors have opened to many from around Blackpool and has attracted interest from numerous agencies including Morello Cherry Casting agency and has recently worked in conjunction with Blackpool council, Claremont School, Barnardos and New Directions (a day centre for people with long term mental health)(http://www.blackpool4me.com/Blackpool4Me/Health/MentalHealth/NewDirections/)
Rachel is on hand to ensure everything at Class Act runs smoothly. An experienced coordinator of Saturday Theatre Schools in the area has led Rachel to recognize and realise the talent and potential of youngsters, whilst also making their learning fun and enjoyable.
